R & R Woodworkers and Lucy Hardware Donate Cedar Benches to White Mountain Aquatic Center

R & R Woodworkers, local manufacturers of handcrafted cedar Adirondack furniture, and Lucy Hardware have teamed up to donate northern white cedar benches to the White Mountain Aquatic Center.

The labor was done by R & R Woodworkers. Lucy Hardware donated the wood for the frame of the benches, while R & R Woodworkers donated the cedar tops.

The White Mountain Aquatic Center provides a variety of water safety, aquatic fitness and membership programs for almost two hundred youth and adult swimmers per week. Addition of the benches to the deck area has made the swimming experience more comfortable and enjoyable for all of the swimmers that use the pool. Personal gear can be stowed under the benches and swimmers car relax on them before and after swimming.

The White Mountain Aquatic Center is the facility and program arm of the White Mountain Aquatic Foundation (WMAF). The WMAF is a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 that is dedicated to providing a modern, multiple-pool community aquatic center in the Mt. Washington Valley. The envisioned facility will deliver aquatic education, recreation, safety, competition, fitness, and rehabilitative programs to people of all ages and abilities.
